We saw this sign in the Western Ghat Mountains. "Appreciate their presence in your neighborhood"?? Are they kidding? 
This is the Indian Kingfisher-so distinctive that he has an airline and a beer named after him! Be sure to click on this photo to see him closer in all his glorious color. Notice the length of his beak.
