Shopping in Kerala

This is the fresh fish market at Fort Cochin. Fish are actually auctioned off.

These 3 boys were part of the wedding ceremony. Here they are shopping for their outfits.

This is part of the wedding ceremony tradition. A red saree is presented to the bride by her husband during the ceremony. These are all different. As you can see, there was no shortage of sales help in the stores! This store specialized and had 5 stories full of sarees.

Shopping for gold wedding jewelry. This store had millions of pieces of jewelry. The Keralites we met called jewelry "ornaments." While Amy was being dressed for the ceremony by 3 sweet women, they kept asking, "More ornaments?" Apparently, she wore much less than most Indian brides.
